I created a red and gold, with touched of purple alcohol ink background for my granddaughter's birthday card. I had a lot leftover since it was a full 8-1/2" x 11" sheet. I love the vibrancy of alcohol inks. I was able to create seven more beautiful cards using this background paper.
For this card I pulled out some great candle die and cut them from the alcohol inked background. They were cut an addition two times from red cardstock and the layers were adhered together with liquid glue. The flame of the candles were cut from gold mirror cardstock, trimmed to only have the flames, and adhered in place with liquid glue.
The sentiment was cut from gold mirror cardstock and two more time from red cardstock. The layers were adhered together with liquid glue.
A panel of black cardstock was adhered to the top of an A2 top folding cardbase and the candles and sentiment were adhered in place with liquid glue.
