A family in our church congregation had a baby girl added to the their family this week and I needed a cute image to use for a card. Etsy is one of my favorite placed to find digital stamps. This is a new designer and I really liked the cute little elephant wrapped in a polka dot blanket.
I pulled the image into the Silhouette Cameo software and sized it to fit an A2 card front, then added registration marks before printing so that the software could cut around the image. I always use a laser printer when coloring with Copic Markers. Ink Jet printers tend to bleed when using alcohol markers.
When the coloring was complete and the image was cut it was time to design the card. I decided to stamp pink hearts to a scalloped rectangle die, but I didn't want the hearts to be on the scalloped edges, so I added Post-It Cover-Up Take around the rectangle and then stamped the My Favorite Things Mini Hearts Background with Distress Oxide Kitsch Flamingo Ink. I love the way it turned out.
I pulled out Joyful Home Baby stamp and die set and cut the world "welcome" three times from white cardstock and once from cardstock that had been colored with Copic Markers to give an ombre of pink. These were adhered together with Elmer's Craft Bond Adhesive. A small banner with the secondary sentiment was stamped with the Kitsch Flamingo Ink and die cut with a Pink & Main Sentiment Strip.
Simon Says Stamp Big Mama Foam Tape was added to the back of the focal image, which was adhered in place by removing the backing paper. The die cut sentiment was adhered using liquid glue and the banner was adhered with both foam tape and liquid glue. Such a cute image and card.
