Best Fishes for a Happy Birthday Chris

I got this die set from Spellbinders because there are several men in my life who are fishermen, including my son, Christopher. I created this card for him.
The great thing about using small die cuts is that you can use up a lot of scraps of paper. Everything on this card uses scraps, except the shirt, which I went searching through my plaid patterned paper to find a small one that would look good with the brown pants I had cut.
Since fishing waders are rubber I pulled out a mat black cardstock for them. Since I grew up in Idaho I made the fish rainbow trouts with come Copic Markers.
A panel of pale blue cardstock was cut to be the size of an A2 card front and the edges were ink blended from a little dimension and visual interest.
The waves were cut from a scrap of blue cardstock and dry embossed with a wave embossing folder and then cut along one of the waves to make to fit underneath the pier. The pier was dry embossed with a woodgrain folder.
All the elements were adhered with a combination of liquid glue and foam strips.
The sentiment is from a Art Impressions stamp set called Reel Great Guys.
