You will see that I've created a lot of cards with purple cardstock in the last few days. I was trying to make a card for my dear friend Dale, whose favorite color is purple. This is the card that his wife said she thought he would like best.
I cut a panel of purple and white cardstock and then cut the "Big Birthday Wishes" die from the center. This card uses the negative die cut. I added dotliner adhesive to the back of the panel and adhered it to a sheet of acetated, cut just smaller than the rectangle sentiment. The centers of the letters were adhered in place with liquid glue.
Foam tape strips were added to the back of the sentiment panel, creating three different wells to add shaker pieces to. I used a mix of sequins and seed beads. A rectangle of white cardstock was cut just smaller than the sentiment panel and dry embossed with a swiss dot folder. The backing paper was removed from the foam tape and the polka dot panel was laid in place.
A scalloped frame was created using the Pretty Pink Posh Scalloped Rectangle Die. It was adhered to the sentiment panel with liquid glue. The shaker panel was then adhered to a top folding cardbase.
