For this card I decided to pull out my Karin Brushmaker Pro watercolors. I have found that these watercolor pens have more vibrant colors than the ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Makers. Both make beautiful cards, but I was feeling like having more intense colors.
This card uses one of the images Honey Bee Stamps Cosmos. It was stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
Once the watercolor was dry the flowers and leaves were cut out using the coordinating dies. Stitched details were added to the front of an A2 cardbase using the Altenew Dotted Swirls Debossing Plate.
The stems of the flowers and leaves were adhered together with liquid glue. Low loft foam tape was added to the back of the flowers and the arrangement was adhered to the front of the cardbase by removing the backing paper on the foam tape and adding liquid glue to the flower and stems.
The sentiment had been previously stamps and embossed. I like to do this and then keep them in the back of the stamp pocket to pull out and use on cards. It was adhered over the flower arrangement with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape.
The final embellishment was to add sequins and tiny confetti around the arrangement.
I liked the card, but I wasn't in love with it. My husband suggested that I add a thin frame around the image and once that was adhered I liked it much better.
