My grandkids really loved cake pops. There was a gluten free bakery near them that made delicious chocolate one, which is what they liked the best. Sadly it went out of business, but when I saw this die I thought how fun to create paper cake pops.

These were made for a young lady at church whose favorite color is blue/turquoise. She too loves chocolate, so I made a blueberry chocolate, chocolate chip, and chocolate caramel for this card.

Since she loves tuquoise I pulled out some turquoise polka dot paper for a background to the cake pops. I also cut a scalloped oval from white cardstock. The sentiment was stamped at the bottom of the oval with turquoise ink. Low loft foam tape was added to the back of the oval and it was adhered to the polka dot rectangle, which was adhered to a top folding cardbase with dotliner adhesive.

The layers of the cake pops were cut from ivory, chocolate brown, and deep turqoise cardstock. The layers were glued together with liquid glue and then sprinkles were added to the frosting layers. Little circle were cut using a swiss dot background die from blue and brown cardstock to create the berries and chocolate chips. To make the frosting look like it had been glazed Ranger Glossy Accents was added.

When the glossy accent was dry the stick were added to the cake pops and they were arranged on the oval and adhered with both liquid glue and foam tape. To clean up where the sticks met a bow was added. Stitched details was added with a white gelly roll pen.

To add more of a celebration feel confetti was cut from holographic cardstock and scattered around the cake pops.
