Chunky Happy Scripty Birthday Alcohol Cupcakes

I created a red and gold, with touched of purple alcohol ink background for my granddaughter's birthday card. I had a lot leftover since it was a full 8-1/2" x 11" sheet. I love the vibrancy of alcohol inks. I was able to create seven more beautiful cards using this background paper.

I had the leftover die cuts from the previous card I made with the Chunky Happy die and wanted to put them to use. I cut the outline from gold mirror cardstock and adhered all the pieces of the letters in place with liquid glue.

I decided to cut the scripty "birthday" from gold cardstock and three more times from red. I cut off the part of the word that overlapped the "HAPPY" word from the red cardstock and adhered all the layers together with liquid glue.

A panel of deep red cardstock was cut using a stitched rectangle die and dry embossed with an argyle embossing folder. The edges were ink blended to add depth and visual interest. It was adhered to a landscape folded A2 cardbase with dotliner adhesive. The words were adhered in place with liquid glue.

I felt like the card needed a little more visual interest and I had two tiny scraps of the alcohol ink background to cut the mini cupcake liners. The frosting was cut from gold mirror cardstock and adhered to the cupcake liners with liquid glue. Foam tape was added to the back and they were nestled into the open space on the sides of the word "birthday."
