Cool Tones Club Blooms Enjoy It’s Your Day

Our youth at church is going to be having a fund raiser the end of April to earn money for girl's camp and boy's high adventure activities. They asked people to donate either baked goods or crafts that could be auctioned. I decided that I could make a set of cards. I decided to make a set of the following cards: Mother's Day, Father's Day, Feminine Birthday, Masculine Birthday, Thinking of You, Thank You, Sympathy, and Get Well. In talking with my husband, it was decided that I could make to two sets, one with cool tones and one with warm tones. The next posts will highlight these cards.

This is the cool tones feminine birthday card. I pulled out one of my favorite Spellbinders flower dies and cut the flowers from pink, blue, and purple. I also used some small white flowers and a spring of dark purple berries. All the die cuts were ink blended to add depth and dimension.

I dry embossed the front of an A2 cardbase with a flower folder. A frame of white cardstock was cut and adhered to the front of the cardbase with foam tape. The flower and leaves were adhered in place using a combination of liquid glue and foam tape.

The sentiment was cut from gold mirror cardstock and three more times from white cardstock, adhering all the layers together with liquid glue. It was then adhered in the opening at the top of the frame. The secondary sentiment was stamped with VersaMark Ink on a scrape of dark purple cardstock. It was adhered in place with a foam tape.
