The husband of our realtor who helped us find out house when we moved to Texas passed away this past week. We've kept in touch through the years. Since they were both native Texans I thought a yellow rose would be appreciated for a sympathy card.
I pulled out Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers Rose dies and cut layers from yellow cardstock. The leaves were cut from green. All the layers were ink blended to add dimension and visual interest. They layers were adhered together with liquid glue.
The sentiment was cut from a brushed gold cardstock and two more times from heavy weight white. They layers were adhered together with liquid glue. The secondary sentiment was stamped on a scrape of green cardstock with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed gold. It was cut with a sentiment label die.
A panel was cut from white cardstock with a decorative rectangle die and then dry embossed with a vine folder. The rose and sentiment was adhered in place with liquid glue. The secondary sentiment was adhered with a foam strip.
