Fancy Frosting Happy Birthday

cardtheraphy51

I recently purchased the Honey Bee Stamps Fancy Frosting stamp and die set. It is retiring and so you could get each for only $9 for a total of $18. I really wanted the cute little balloons, I can use them in so many ways, but I liked the cake as well. This card uses both.

I stamped the images and the sentiment with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed them white. For the cake the frosting decorations were stamped in a second pass. I then pulled out my blending brushes and added color to the images and then cut them out with the coordinating dies.

I decided not to use the cake stand. It would work on a slimline card, but it is too tall for a regular A2 cardbase.

A panel of white cardstock was cut using a scalloped rectangle die. The images and the sentiment were laid in place on the panel to determine where to stamp the secondary sentiment.

Foam tape was added to the back of the images and the scalloped rectangle. They were adhered in place by removing the backing paper.

A few white pearls were scattered around the cake.
