As I got thinking about the anniversary card I made for my husband I thought he would like and appreciate it, but his favorite color is blue. So, I decided to make another card using navy blue.
A gold mirror heart was cut using a stitched heart die. It was cut again from black fun foam and the two were adhered together with liquid glue. The numbers "50" were cut from navy cardstock and again from black fun foam, they were adhered together with liquid glue.
The gold mirror heart was placed in the top center of the patterned panel with liquid glue. The numbers were adhered in place with liquid glue and a few stamping block were placed on top to help keep them in place while the glue dried.
I couldn't find a stamp that had the words I wanted to use for a secondary greeting, so I made a text box in Microsoft Word. I wanted it to be shiny so I ran a mini ink cube of VersaMark Ink over the sentiment and heat embossed it clear. The sentiment was cut out with a sentiment label die. Black fun foam was added to the back and it was adhered underneath the numbers. When the strip was placed the numbers were a completely different color blue, so I printed a square of blue with the same color as the sentiment strip and cut the numbers from it. This time I added VersaMark Ink and clear embossing powder to them and then adhered them over the previously cut and placed number. I liked this much better.
