My youngest daughter is a New Year's Eve baby. She loves music, all kinds of music and can quote the lyrics of hundreds of songs. If you are ever playing trivia you want Janae on your team.
Her favorite color is turquoise. I went out and searched and there are vinyl records that can be purchased in multiple colors, so I decided to create an alcohol ink background using different turquoise colors on to the back of Kirkland Glossy Photo Paper. This papers is much cheaper and still works well creating these background. I also used some gold foil to add a lovely detail to the background.
When the background was completely dry I used the Honey Bee Stamps Record Player Die to cut it out. I also used gold mirror cardstock for some of the elements. I created a circle word sentiment in the Silhouette Cameo using turquoise ink and cut it from white cardstock. I had to do it twice because I didn't leave space for the cross bar on the label, which was cut from gold mirror cardstock.
I used some of the alcohol ink background to stamp a sentiment with VersaMark Ink and heat set it gold. You have to be very careful heat embossing on this cardstock, constantly moving the heat gun. It was cut out using the coordinating die.
Sticky back foam was added to the back of the record and sentiment, along with the base of the needle arm. A quarter sheet panel of white cardstock was dry embossing with a musical notes embossing folder and adhered to a top folding cardbase with liquid glue. The elements of the record player and sentiment were adhered in place with liquid glue to the back of the foam.
