Framed Lakeside Scene Thinking of You

I've used this die and stencil set from Honey Bee Stamps before. This time I decided to ink blend the image twice and then fussy cut the tall pine trees out to add a layer to the card. I also decided to use the canoe and paddle die.

This isn't the easiest set to stencil. It is difficult to line up the detailed tree lines, but it is really a pretty card when it is complete.

This time I decided to add a wood frame around the image. I really like the way it turned out. I added color the the wood frame by running a brown ink cube over the die cut frame. I didn't want to lose the top of the mountain, so I adhered it outside the frame. Copic Markers were used to color the inside of the boat and oar.

I was making this card for a friend from church who is aging and having health issues. We wanted both he and his wife to know we are thinking of them and sending them our love and prayers. The sentiment was stamped with VersaFine Clair Pinecone ink on the grass in the lower left of the image.
