I have seen a lot of beautiful cards using this die set from Spellbinders. I kept my card pretty minimal, but I love the way it turned out.
I die cut the elements of the card from white, red, grey, black, yellow, and pale blue cardstock. All the elements were adhered together with liquid glue.
I had seen where someone used black for the window on the lighthouse, but I really didn't like the way that looked, so I used a pale blue and liked that much better.
I cut out a panel of white cardstock using a stitched rectangle die. I used 1" Post-it Tape to mark off the area for the water and ink blended it with a blue ink. I then placed the Simon Says Stamp Waves Stencil over the water and ink blended again with a darker turquoise ink. One the water was done, I moved the Post-it Tape to protect the water portion of the card and ink blended the sky.
The sentiment was stamped a couple of times with the darkest blue ink. The rock and lighthouse were adhered in place using foam tape. The birds were adhered with liquid glue.
