WPlus9 is closing its doors and they were having a huge sale on their remaining product. I've always liked their flower stamps and so I purchase the Darling Dahlias. There are some lovely images in this set.
This card is for my sister. Her favorite color is red.
At first I thought I would try my hand at no line coloring, but I am not good at that medium. Once I had colored the bouquet I stamped it again with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it gold.
There aren't coordinating dies for this stamp so I cut it down using a scalloped rectangle die. Darice Sticky Back Foam was added to the back and it was adhered to a landscape A2 cardbase with liquid glue.
The sentiment was previosly hot foiled on black cardstock and cut into a sentiment strip. It was adhered with low loft foam tape to the bottom of the flower boquet.
I decided I wanted to add a little more black to the card, so I pulled out an Ellen Hutson Essential Rectangle Die. I love these dies because it not only cuts the rectangle but it cuts a thin frame as well. I adhered the thin frame to the stitched edges of the scalloped rectangle with liquid glue. Red pearls were scattered around the flowers and the card was done.
