Denise introduced me to her friend who did house cleaning, since I was looking for someone to come in and do my bathroom's, dusting, and moping floors every other week. Dianne has become a good friend. Diane has a birthday coming up in October, but we decided to celebrate all of our birthdays at the same time, since I won't be here in October. Diane's favorite color is yellow.
I stamped this Hero Arts Togetherness Flower Bouquet first with a light ink and then colored it with Copic Markers. Embossing can damage your Copic Marker nibs and so I always stamp first with a light ink, color, and then stamp again with VersaMark Ink and heat emboss. That is the beauty of the incredible stamping tool called the MISTI.
Once the embossing had cooled down the image was cut out with the coordinating die. Sticky back foam was also cut with the die and the two were adhered together by removing the backing paper.
I decided to cut a stitched rectangle of white cardstock and dry emboss it with the Darice Basketweave Embossing Folder. I love embossing behind an image, it adds great visual interest. I matted the embossed rectangle with yellow cardstock and adhered it to a top folding cardbase with dotliner adhesive. The image was adhered to the front with liquid glue.
I had this great hot foiled sentiment sitting in my excess sentiments tray and it fit perfectly below the flower bouquet. Sticky back foam was added to the back so it had the same dimension as the flower and the card was done.
