Hello - Just Because

I decided to create another card with the same stamp and color scheme I had used on my previous card, only this time I would use Copic Markers to color the iamge.

I again started with a no line technique, stamping the image with Simon Says Stamp fog Ink, leaving the image in my MISTI. Once the coloring was complete I just felt like it needed something else. I don't think I like the no line look. It doesn't define the image enough for me. So, I stamped it again with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it gold.

This time I decided to fussy cut around the bottom of the image. At first I thought I would add black and white cardstock for the bottom of the image, but it was just too stark for the color combination I had used. I look through other patterned papers and could find anything I liked, so I pulled out the Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Stripes Background and stamped it on a quarter sheet of cardstock with green ink and liked that much better. Where the stripes didn't stamp well, I used a Copic Marker that matched to green ink I had used to stamp the background to fill in the badly stamped stripes.

3M 1/2" Foam Tape was added to the back of the flower image, the backing paper removed, and adhered over the striped background.

Simon Says Stamp Painted Hello was cut from gold mirror cardstock and tucked into the right lower corner with liquid glue. I also decided to add a gold mirror border, adhering to the focal image panel with dotliner adhesive. Everything was adhered to a side folding A2 cardbase and the card was done.
