There is a young woman at church who is graduating this week. Her school colors are black and silver. I had seen a card that Tina Smith created using alphabet letters. I didn't have the alpha dies she used, but I have the Bold Caps Alpha Dies from Altenew and thought they would work well.
I remembered that I had some black and silver striped paper with glitter and thought it would be perfect for Camie's card. I cut the letters from both the striped paper and black sticky back foam and adhered the two together by removing the backing paper. I pulled out CZ Designs/Simon Says Stamp Class Act die the two different sized graduation caps from black cardstock.
A rectangle of white cardstock was cut using the Memory Box Matinee Rectangle Die. I love the corners on this die. The rectangle was adhered to a top folding black card base with dotliner adhesive. I used a T-square ruler to find the center of the white rectangle and adhered the "I" letters in place. The "H and P" letters were adhered to either side, ensuring they were aligned by using the T-square ruler. Black foam was adhered to the back of the caps, cutting away the foam that would overlap the letters. The caps were adhered in place with liquid glue.
The secondary sentiment was stamped with VersaMark Ink on a scrap of black cardstock and heat embossed silver. It was fussy cutout with scissors and adhered at the bottom of the second "HIP" overlapping just a little. It was adhered with a strip of foam and liquid glue.
