Since I had a mix of glitter cardstock on my desk for the previous card I decided to use a rainbow of glitter colors for these candles.
Since I wanted this to be a masculine birthday card I did not use the flower shaped candle on the card. Instead I repeated the shape with the small squares. Each shape was cut from the glitter cardstock and an additional three times from heavy weight white cardstock. The layers were adhered together with liquid glue.
I had the negative opening for this oval shape left over from a previous card. The candles fit perfectly inside. I laid one of the candles in place to determine were to stamp the sentiment with VersaMark Ink and heat emboss it gold.
The rectangle panel was cut down using a stitched rectangle die. Foam tape was added to the back and it was adhered to the front of a landscape cardbase. All the candles were adhered in place with liquid glue.
