I am having knee replacement surgery this middle of this month and so I needed to get some cards done so I have some on hand while I won't be crafting for awhile. For this card I decided to pull out my Karin Brushmaker Pro watercolors. I have found that these watercolor pens have more vibrant colors than the ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Makers. Both make beautiful cards, but I was feeling like having more intense colors.
This card uses one of the images from the Clearly Besotted Magnificent Magnolia stamp set. It was stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
Once the watercolor was dry it was cut out using the coordinating die. I had the panel that I had cutout the oval for my previous card and decided to use it on this card. I cut down the panel with a stitched rectangle and then added low love foam tape to the back. The magnolia flower was place in the lower right of the oval and adhered with liquid glue where it overlapped the panel and then low loft foam tape was added to the back where it would need to be supported in the center of the oval.
The panel was placed on a top folding cardbase to determine where to stamp the sentiment. The panel was then adhered to the cardbase by removing the backing on the foam tape.
The final embellishment was to scatter black confetti around the image. At the last minute I decided to add drops of pink Nuvo Crystal Drops to the center of the confetti. Don't know how much I like it, but it was done and the card is still pretty.
