For this card I decided to pull out my Karin Brushmaker Pro watercolors. I have found that these watercolor pens have more vibrant colors than the ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Makers. Both make beautiful cards, but I was feeling like having more intense colors.
This card uses the images from Mama Elephant's Peonies in Bloom. It was stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
When I searched on the internet for peonies I saw one that was blue with purple tips, so those were the colors I used on these flowers. Once the watercolor was dry it was cut out using the coordinating die. Love loft foam tape was added to the back of the flowers and leaves. They were arranged the way I liked them and then picked up using Glad Press 'n Seal.
A scalloped rectangle was cut from white cardstock and the flowers and leaves were laid in place to determine where to stamp the sentiment. It was stamped with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed gold.
Darice Sticky Back Foam was added to the back of the scalloped rectangle and it was adhered to a landscape oriented A2 cardbase with liquid glue. The flowers and leaves were then adhered in place by removing the backing paper on the foam tape.
The final embellishment was to add gold confetti around the flower arrangement.
