Pink Peony Mom: I am Who I am Because of You

Our youth at church is going to be having a fund raiser the end of April to earn money for girl's camp and boy's high adventure activities. They asked people to donate either baked goods or crafts that could be auctioned. I decided that I could make a set of cards. I decided to make a set of the following cards: Mother's Day, Father's Day, Feminine Birthday, Masculine Birthday, Thinking of You, Thank You, Sympathy, and Get Well. In talking with my husband, it was decided that I could make to two sets, one with cool tones and one with warm tones. The next sixteen posts will highlight these cards.

This is the cool tone Mother's Day Card. I recently purchased a couple of Memory Box Peony dies and decided to use both on the card. For this I used pink cardstock and ink blened the petals to add visual interest. The layers were adhered together with liquid glue.

A panel of cardstock was cut using a scalloped rectangle and then dry embossed with a vine folder. It was adhered to a top folding cardbase with liquid glue. The flowers and leaves were adhered in place with liquid glue.

"Mom" die is an old one from Simon Says Stamp and comes with an accompanying stamp set. I cut the words from gold mirror cardstock. It was cut three more times from white cardstock, snipping off the area of the word that would overlap the flowers. The secondary greeting was stamped on a scrap of pink cardstock with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it gold and then cut with a sentiment label die and adhered with a foam strip.
