I had the leftover blue cardstocks from the previous card sitting on my desk and decided to use them to create this cupcake card.
The cupcake liners were cut from the polka dot cardstock and the frosting from white. A Copic Markers was used to highlight the frosting debossed details. The two were adhered together with liquid glue.
The sentiment was cut from blue glitter cardstock and three more times from white. The layers were adhered together with liquid glue.
The candles were cut from both blue glitter cardstock and gold shimmer cardstock for the flames. They were adhered together with liquid glue and then adhered to the back of the frosting.
A panel of light blue cardstock was cut and adhered to a top folding cardbase. Foam tape was added to the back of the cupcakes and candles and they were adhered by removing the backing paper on the foam. The sentiment was adhered with liquid glue as well.
I liked the card, but it was just so so. I decided to pull out some blue star confetti and scattered around the cupcakes and really liked the way it turned out.
