Purple Azaleas Happy Birthday

For this card I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and used the coordinating stencil to color the image. I like stencils, they are a quick and easy way to color an image, but I think it is harder to shadows and highlights. Once I was done coloring I used a clear sparkle pen to deepen the colors and add a little shine.

The image was cutout using the coordinating die and foam tape was added to the back. It was adhered to a white oval panel. Whenever I am using white on white in a design I like to add some visual interest by using an embossing folder. The front of the cardbase was dry embossed with the Stampin' Up Subtle 3D Embossing Folder and then the foam image oval was adhered in place with foam tape.

Nuvo English Mustard Crystal Drops were added to the stamen on the flowers. Iridescent Snow Crystals were scattered around the image.

I pulled out a previously hot foiled sentiment and adhered it in place with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape.
