These were the first sympathy cards I made for the youth box card sets. I liked them, but I didn't love them, so I recreated them with the cards posted previously. I will definite use them, they are pretty cards.
I cut the layers of the tulip from a medium purple cardstock and then ink blended where the debossing on the die showed the darkest areas of the layer. All layers were adhered together with liquid glue. The flower center was cut from a brushed gold cardstock and adhered in place with liquid glue as well.
I originally cut the oval frame from white cardstock, but when I had it adhered to the light gray cardbase I didn't like the way it looked, so I cut it again from a dark purple cardstock and added it to the top of the white oval. I liked this much better.
The cardbase was dry embossed with a basketweave folder and the purple oval was adhered in place with foam strips. The tulips were adhered into the center of the oval with a combination of liquid glue and foam strips.
The sentiment was cut from brushed gold cardstock and adhered over the flower stems and petals with liquid glue. The secondary sentiment was stamped with VersaMark Ink on a scrap of dark purple cards, cut down with a sentiment label die, and adhered in place with foam tape.
A few gold confetti was scattered around the arrangement.
