Rainbow of Party Balloons X 2

Since I had a rainbow of cardstock sitting on my desk from my two previous cards I decided to use them again. This time I pulled out the My Favorite Things Party Balloons Die, cutting it from seven different colors. It was also cut from gold glitter cardstock that was still sitting on my desk from a previous card.

I had some black and white polka-dot paper sitting on my desk and cut an oval for the background behind the balloons. The gold balloon outline was adhered in the center and the rainbow colors were paper pieced into the opening. I really like the way the rainbow balloons look against the black and white.

A rectangle of black cardstock was cut using an A2 die and adhered to a top folding cardbase. Sticky back foam was added behind focal image oval, which was then adhered to the front of the card with liquid glue.

I pulled out the Simon Says Stamp Painted Happy Birthday and used only the word "happy," cutting it from both black and gold glitter cardstock. The two were adhered together with the black as a shadow. The word birthday was stamped with VersaMark Ink onto a scrap of black cardstock and heat embossed gold. It was cut into a flag. Both the die cut and word strip was adhered with liquid glue.

I had the leftover negative opening in the black and white cardstock from the card above and decided to put it to use. This time I used a red, black, and white color scheme.

Simon Says Stamp Big Mama Foam Tape was added behind the oval panel and then it was adhered to a top folding cardbase. I had a white balloon outline from one of the previous cards I made and decided to color it red with the R29 Copic Marker. It was adhered in the center of the oval with liquid glue. The balloons were also cut from the black and white cardstock and also from heavy weight white cardstock and adhered together with liquid glue, then pieced into the balloon opening.

The sentiment is from Honey Bee Stamps. The shadow layer colored with the same red marker and then the word die was cut from the black and white cardstock and adhered together with liquid glue. The secondary sentiment was stamped onto red cardstock with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed white. It was cut into a flagged sentiment strip. They were adhered to the bottom of the oval with both liquid glue and foam tape.
