I recently organized my ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Markers and decided to create a card with them. I stamped the background with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it white.
Ttwo markers of similar colors, a dark and a light, were used to color the balloons in rainbow colors. The two colors were blended them together by added the darkest color at the base of the balloon and then bringing the lighter color down from the top of the balloon. This creates rich dark colors. The panel was cut down using a stitched rectangle die.
There is a lot of confetti in the background stamp and I wanted them to stand out, so I pulled out some metallic gelly roll pens.
The sentiment was originally cut from watercolor cardstock and colored with the blue pens, but I didn't like the way it look. It was cut again from black cardstock and black sticky back foam and adhered to upper part of the background. Originally the "to you" sentiment was stamped directly on the balloon background, but I didn't like that look either, so it was stamped again on a scrap of black cardstock with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed white. It was cut with a sentiment strip die and adhered below the main sentiment with a scrap of black foam.
I felt the black was too stark against the balloon background, so polka-dots were added with a white gelly roll pen. I really liked that look. A panel of black cardstock cut 1/8" larger than the balloon panel was adhered to the back to add a thin black border. The panel was adhered to a white A2 top folding cardbase.
