When I was making the masculine birthday cards for the youth auction packet I had cut some striped paper to make the cards, but I didn't like how they looked on the white cardstock, so I set them aside. While cleaning up my craftroom after making other cards I ran across the die cuts and couldn't throw them away. So I decided to use a bright color panel for the candle die cuts. I pulled out a red, blue, and green cardstock and cut down a panel using a stitched rectangle die. The candle circle was then cut from the top of each panel and acetated was adhered to the back with dotliner adhesive.
The striped candled pieces were adhered in place with liquid glue. The flames were cut from gold glitter cardstock and also adhered in place with liquid glue. Foam tape was added to to the back of each panel around the circle opening, as well as the edges and a couple of more strips to support the center of the panel and create smaller well for the shaker pieces. Seed beads of the same color as the candle panels were added to the well. A rectangle of white cardstock was cut just smaller than the candle rectangle and dry embossed with a linen look embossing folder and then adhered to the back of the shaker by removing the backing on the foam tape.
The front of the cardbase was also dry embossed and the shaker panel was adhered in place with liquid glue.
The sentiment, which was cut from the same striped paper was adhered below the candles with liquid glue.
