Sunflowers Wishing You a Sunny Day

I think it is a good thing to use old stamps. We've paid a lot of money for them, so we need to get a lot of use out of them. Today I pulled out some Simon Says Stamp sets. This one uses the really large Sunflower Garden. From this image I made two separate cards.

I don't often do no liner coloring. I find it very challenging. My first attempt was thrown in the trash. Then I remember a video by Mindy Egan where she used her darkest color to outline the image. This is the opposite of what I usually do, but with no line this works much better.

The image was stamped with Simon Says Stamp Fog Ink and then colored it with Copic Markers. When the coloring was complete it was sized down with a stitched rectangle. It was then matted with green cardstock and low loft foam tape was added to the back. I went through my patterned paper pads and selected this pretty dotted yellow. It was cut down to 3 3/4 x 5 and adhered to a top folding cardbase with dot liner adhesive.
