I have a young friend who is turning nineteen. Her favorite colors are brown, olive green, yellow, and cream. This card incorporates all those colors into a fun cupcake.
This die is another great layering die from Honey Bee Stamps. I began by cutting the cupcake liner from two colors of olive green cardstock. The candles were cut from the lightest olive green and the backing and flames on the candles from gold shimmer cardstock. The frost was cut from dark brown cardstock and the bottom layers was deepened with a dark brown ink. The layers were adhered together with liquid glue.
The sentiment is also from Honey Bee Stamps. The shadow was cut from the darkest olive green cardstock. The word with dark brown three times and adhered together with liquid glue and then adhered to the shadow
A panel of yellow polka dot cardstock was cut with a stitched rectangle die and adhered to a top folding ivory cardbase with dotliner adhesive. The cupcake and sentiment were laid on the panel to determine where to stamp the secondary sentiment with brown ink.
The frosting was adhered to the cupcake liner and the candles were adhered to the back of the frosting. Waffle Flower foam strips were used to add dimension to all the elements of the card.
The final embellishment was to add some clear shimmer to the frosting.
