Time to Celebrate Jenna and Myles

cardtheraphy51

It is wonderful to see some of the young women I worked with years ago finding love and beginning a new life with an eternal companion.

This year earth tones are in vogue. Jenna chose Mustard, Sunset (Peach), Terra Cotta, Rust, Olive, and Sage. Finding Copic Markers that would create those colors was a little challenging, but I think they turned out pretty.

I stamped the images with a light ink onto to white Hammermill paper and left them in the MISTI. They were colored with the Copic Markers listed below and restamped with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed gold. The coordinating dies were used to cut out the images.

To add visual interest behind the flowers the card front was dry embossed with the Stampin' Up Subtle Embossing Folder, which add a lovely linen look to the paper.

.The flowers and leaves were arranged the way I liked them and then Glad Press 'n Seal was used to keep them together so they could be turned over. Liquid glue was used on the back flower and leaves. One layer of Simon Says Stamp Big Mama Foam Tape was added to the gold flower, and two layers were added to peach flower. The Press 'n Seal was turned over and the images were adhered to the card front.

A hot foil sentiment strip was adhered to the bottom of the flowers with foam tape and the card was done.
