Trio of Ball Caps for a Super Hero Dad

I have the most amazing husband in the world. We have been married for fifty-one years and I am still grateful every day that I was lucky enough to find him. He is also a super dad to our four living children. We are so blessed to have him in our lives.

I really like this new die set from Papertrey Ink. I think it made a great Father's Day card, but it could be a great birthday card for a guy as well. I loved the sentiment that came with the die set and decided to use three of them for this card.

Michael's favorite color is blue, so I cut the ball caps from different colors of blue and then coordinated them together. I stamped two of the sentiment onto the logo die cut, one with blue ink and the other with VersaMark and heat embossed it silver. For the third ball cap I stamped the word "dad" and cut out the pound sign and number 1 from holographic paper and adhered it to the top of the cap.

I wanted to stack the ball caps, but they were too large for an A2 cardbase, so I made a 5"x7" inch card instead. I cut out a panel 1/4" smaller and dry embossed it with the Diamond Plaid 3D Embossing Folder from Spellbinders. It was matted with the dark blue cardstock used on the caps and adhered to the side folder 5"x7" card. The caps were adhered with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape.

Michael loved the card.
