Welcome Zachary David

One of my nieces had her third child on Thursday. They are naming him Zachary David.

I went looking through my digi baby stamps. This image has a couple of little tuffs of hair on top, but this sweet little guy has masses of dark hair. So I pulled the image into Photoshop Elements and removed the tuffs of hair so I could color in a lot of dark curly hair.

I printed the image with a laser printer, since I wanted to color it with Copic Markers and ink jet printers will bleed, but a laser printer is Copic safe. When the coloring was complete I cut down the image using a pierced oval die. I went looking through my plaid papers and selected this one with blue and green, which is the colors I used on the image. A stitched rectangle die was used to cut down the paper to be just smaller than a card front. It was adhered in placed with dotliner adhesive. The focal image oval was adhered with Simon Says Stamp Big Mama Foam Tape for a little dimension.

The main sentiment was cut from white cardstock three times and at first I colored it in an ombre of blue and green, but I didn't like that when it was placed next to the plaid paper. So, I cut it again and then colored it with only blue markers and liked that much better.

The secondary sentiment was created in Microsoft Word and cut down with a sentiment strip die and adhered below the image with a thin strip of foam tape. Small die cut hearts were adhered around the sentiment and glossy accents was added for a little more visual interest and shine.
