I have a grandson who was turning twenty-two. In his house ice cream is a big deal. They have it all the time. Matthew's favorite are anything that has chocolate, so I decided to create a three-layered ice cream cone with mint chocolate chip, cookies and cream, and rocky road scoops.
I pulled out scraps of cardstock to cut out all the elements to make the scoops. I ink blended the edges to add some dimension and then adhered the different chips, marshmallows, and cookie bits to the appropriate colored scoop. All the layers were adhered together with liquid glue.
The cone was cut from kraft cardstock and the back layer was ink blended to be darker than the front. The scoops of ice cream were then adhered to the cone with liquid glue. Foam tape was added to the back.
Matt's favorite color is forest green, so I pulled out that color of cardstock from my stash and cut it down with a stitched rectangle die. I stamped the sentiment at the bottom of the rectangle and heat embossed it with Simon Says Stamp Cream Embossing Powder. Once it had cooled, I dry embossed the rectangle with the Simon Says Stamp Sunshine Overlay 3D Embossing Folder. The panel was then adhered to a top folding cardbase with liquid glue.
The backing paper was removed from the foam tape and the cone and ice cream were added to the front of the card.
