I was asked to create Mother's Day cards for all the women at my church. That means that I spent two weeks creating 110 cards. I wanted to have a variety of cards, we wanted to be sure we had some cards for the women in the ward who have never married or not had children. This card uses the Altenew Floral Doodles die, the leaf sprigs are from the Scrapbook.com Layered Rose die.
The background of the flowers were cut from colored cardstock. The detail layers were cut from heavy weight white cardstock, sprayed with Pixie Spray and placed over the backgrounds to add ink blending for shading on the petals.
A panel was cut from white cardstock using the Little B Frames die. It was adhered to the front of an A2 cardbase that was dry embossed using the Darice Basketweave Embossing Folder. The top layers of the flowers were cut from gold mirror cardstock and adhered to the bases with dotliner adhesive. The leaf branches were cut from green cardstock and green vellum.
The sentiment was cut from gold mirror cardstock. The flowers, leaves, and die cut sentiment was placed on the panel to determine where to stamp the secondary greeting. Everything was adhered in place using liquid glue.
