The images in Tim Holtz's Stampers Anonymous The Journey always make a great guy card. I stamped it with a brown ink and then cut it down with a pierced circle die. Darice Sticky Back Foam was cut into a smaller circle and adhered to the back for dimension. The edges of the circle were distressed with the same ink used to stamp the image.
I had stamps that said what I desired, but there weren't one stamp and the fonts didn't match, so I created a sentiment in Microsoft word and cut it down with a label die and flagged the ends. The edges were also distressed with brown ink and a strip of sticky back foam was added to the back.
To compliment the brown of the classic card I decided to use a panel of dark woodgrain paper. It was cut down with a stitched rectangle. When laying out the elements on the card there was a lot of space between the image and the sentiment, so I pulled out a beautiful ribbon from May Arts and wrapped it around the woodgrain cardstock. I didn't want a bow but felt it needed additional visual interest and so I cut a small strip of ribbon, cut the ends into flags and adhered it to the larger strip of ribbon with a staple. The ribbon was adhered in place using Scotch Tape on the back of the woodgrain panel. The panel was adhered to a top folding A2 cardbase with dotliner adhesive and the card was done.
